Contardi strengthens its presence on the North American market by opening the first single-brand showroom in the heart of Manhattan
The new space is located at 151 Wooster Street in the picturesque SoHo neighbourhood, with its cobblestone streets and buildings decorated with cast iron. Not only will the store offer a retail space for customers to experience our products first-hand – it will also house the headquarters of Contardi USA.
Officially inaugurated on the weekend of 12–13 November, with a full-day Open House, a presentation, and a cocktail reception on the Monday, the space has showcased lights from the new collections, as well as iconic pieces. Thanks to the materiality of the marble, textiles and finishes used in the indoor and outdoor lines, combined with the high illumination performance that has always been Contardi’s hallmark, visitors have glimpsed the unmistakable style and experience that distinguishes the brand.
Each light brings together the values of Contardi, interpreted with the signature of the different designers who collaborate with us. Every product can define the space in which it is placed, and can be the starting point for creating the environment.
“In our new space we shall focus, above all, on achieving the optimum closeness to our customers and the best visibility of our collections and innovations,” says Ashley du Pont, Contardi’s Managing Director for North America. “It was only a few months ago that we launched our new brand identity, as part of a rebranding initiative that focuses on establishing Contardi as the decorative brand par excellence. Now we are landing in New York with a space that fuses retail and project planning, to provide a venue where professionals, clients and lovers of design can sample the very best of Italian manufacturing and creativity.”
The opening is also an opportunity to start a new partnership with our next-door neighbour, Foglizzo – a global leader in the leather-making industry, which works on exclusive projects for yachting, aviation, cars, and private residences.
Our store is the new destination for those who choose the excellence of Made in Italy lighting design.
